Pizza Rustica Toronto

This weekend we decided to eat at Pizza Rustica.

I was craving for a caesar salad and a friend of mine raved about their salad so I was eager to try it out.

I ended up taking pictures of everything except the salad, which was excellent.

Crisp lettuce, crunchy croutons, fresh parmesan and delicious dressing. Mmmm…

The pizzas were good as well.

Thin crust with fresh ingredients. Simple and delish and I washed it all down with a San Pellegrino Limonata over ice.

We ordered 3 to share and T took a slice of the Wild Mushroom pizza before I had a chance to take a picture.

I guess he was really hungry.

This place is great for first-dates (more upscale than pizzaiolo or amato pizza) but still reasonably priced.

Frutti di Mare $15- Tiger shrimp, marinated calamari and sea scallops, pan-seared in our herbed garlic butter sauce, topped over tomato sauce and seasoned mozzarella.

Primavera $13 - Marinated grilled peppers, eggplant and zucchini with artichoke hearts, sweet red onions, bruschetta tomatoes, mozzarella and our sundried tomato pesto sauce.

Wild Mushroom Pizza $14 - A blend of field mushrooms, oyster mushrooms and portobello mushrooms topped on our basil pesto cream sauce, bruschetta tomatoes, seasoned mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese
